At Invetsa, we are always on the lookout to provide you with the best solutions for the internal care of your pig production, with the aim of improving its performance and taking care of its health.

What is TYLSUMIX?

It is a therapeutic antibiotic that contains as active ingredients a combination of tylosin phosphate and sulfamethazine, which helps to increase its spectrum of action.

What are the benefits of TYLSUMIX?

TYLSUMIX ®, thanks to the union of its two active ingredients (tylosin phosphate and sulfamethazine) that enhance its action and bacteriostatic spectrum, is recommended for the control and treatment of infections caused by: Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Porcine Proliferative Enteropathy (Ileitis) caused by Lawsonia intracellularis. Likewise, it is also used as a growth promoter in subtherapeutic doses, achieving an estimated increase of 5% in weight gain.

What are the ingredients of TYLSUMIX?

Tylosin

Tylosin phosphate is a macrolide that acts by blocking protein synthesis at the ribosomal level in susceptible bacteria.

It is documented that tylosin phosphate has a very low absorption after oral administration, so its therapeutic effect is focused on enteric microorganisms, obtaining from this point of view an excellent therapeutic behavior at the intestinal level, and at subtherapeutic doses, as a promoter of growth and production.

Sulfamethazine

It is a long-acting sulfonamide that is rapidly absorbed from the intestine and is widely distributed throughout the body and to many soft tissues.

Sulfamethazine has a bacteriostatic effect by stopping the multiplication of susceptible bacteria by inhibiting folic acid synthesis.

Dosage and directions for use

TYLSUMIX should be administered mixed with the pig’s feed for 7 to 10 days.

The dose of 1kg of TYLSUMIX(R) per ton of complete feed is equivalent to a dose of 100 grams of tylosin phosphate and 100 grams of sulfamethazine per ton of feed.

The doses may vary according to the criteria of the Veterinary Doctor.

Precautions for use

  • Macrolides may have an antagonistic effect with chloramphenicol and lincosamides, so it is not recommended to administer TYLSUMIX ® simultaneously with these drugs.
  • Store in a cool, dry place protected from light.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.

withdrawal time
